Documentation

Three ways in, depending on what you do with QuizDock.

I host quizzes

You are the quiz host: you present the quiz to an audience. Create a quiz, present it on the big screen, invite players, read the results. Start hosting →

I administer QuizDock

Accounts and roles, settings, quizzes and media of the instance, health, audit. Administration →

I operate QuizDock

You are the operator (DevOps): choose a deployment, install, configure, back up, upgrade, troubleshoot. Operation →

QuizDock on your own machine, in five steps. Only Docker is needed.

  1. Start the all-in-one image:

    Terminal window
docker run -d --name quizdock --restart unless-stopped \
    -p 18080:3000 -v quizdock:/data fchaussin/quizdock:standalone
  2. Read the setup token in its log: docker logs quizdock, on the line that starts with This instance is not set up yet.

  3. Open http://<machine>:18080, give the token and follow the setup wizard.

  4. Choose Host area, type your name and choose Take the host seat.

  5. In Quizzes → Templates, choose Create a quiz from this on a sample quiz, then Present: players join from their phone with the PIN on the big screen.
